Clarice, (Jana's Mom" ) and our Boss extrodinaire always does the BEST Flowers! She takes a BIT of 'this' and a bit of 'that' out of her Garden and creates, TRULY a floral designers dream! Here, a rose, azaleas, greenery from her yard, a Hellabore blossom........Too Pretty!

Several of our Co-worker's Chipped in and bought her this darling Purse! (Which she adorned with the "Rose" badge I'd stuck on her package...........And she's wearing the neclace I made her here, but I'm thinkin' the neckline is all wrong for it!

The above necklace came in this Craft paper bag that I embellished with Vintage Wallpapers/Ribbons and Tulle......I left the top of the wallpaper open......so it could act as a "pocket" to hold her card! Feel FREE to use this idea if you need to create a Gift Bag...........Great for putting a Card/note in, I thought!

Here's a closeup of the "neutral" lace necklace I made for Jana,,,,,,definetely NOT the right neckline on her shirt for this,,,,,,but I HOPE in the long run, that the colors will suit her wardrobe!!!

Now, before I sign off on this Post,,,,,,I spoke with a couple of Co-workers,,,,,who shall remain anonymous, BUT,,,,we talked about having Log In/Log ON problems as of late on the Internet. I've been TRYING to post/Log on for at LEAST 4 days.....and it has been a nightmare! So? I called the Local Landline Server---Frontier tonight. IF you have had problems,,,,,You need to call them. At the VERY least, they should credit our accounts.........it appears "they"-Frontier, have been having issues! So, let them know so they credit you!

I had other images/subjects I WOULD have posted in the last 3 days, so,,,,,,hopefully, they are working out their KINKS! Ackkk! What a pain in the backside! More tomorrow on Second Saturdayz Show,,,,,,,etc!

I could bring in a Pile of Moss and a handfull of Snails (ewwwwwww!) But I don't think it would have quite the same effect!

Hey, My Spanish is BAD, but the first part of the Header fit the day. I woke in the middle of the night feeling like someone stuck sand in my right eye.....OUCH! And it still hurts like the dickens,,,,if not better by tomorrow I'll head to the Eye Clinic.......But I thought "Eye, Eye, Eye, Eye" was as good opening to a "Cinco Song as well......You fill in the blanks!.....

My livingroom currently looks like Mexican Bandits shot up the place,,,,in either a celebratory fashion or in dismay at the amount of Cra** Shell has once again hauled upstairs from the Studio. It all STARTED innocently enough.. a "little project" while watching....whatever. Ellen, Oprah, Glee, Idol...and then, maybe you know the Drill,,,,,,you need a "Bit of This, a Bit of That" and as aforementioned, your livingroom is in utter Chaos!

I got a BIT sidetracked today when I went looking for more Ribbons! I stopped in Annie's on First and she took me into her backroom

But, I did get a few more Ribbon  rose necklaces done,,,,In spite of the Eye, the Bandits and the  livingroom Chaos,,,SO, all in all it was a GOOD day! And I'm only relatively sore from yesterdays' gardening Marathon in my yard ....so, blink, ("ouch') it was productive!

What a Glorious DAY! And "Oh My Aching Everything!"

So Today? Was one of those days that remind me why I live in this more often than NOT- Soggy Corner of the World!
How Gorgeous! But after today, because these days as of late seem to be rare.... I'm  frankly not sure WHAT is the most Sore........sorer (?) My Body from Pulling weeds, planting a few goodies OR my THUMB for twisting ribbons! I hurt ALL over,,,,,but it's a "GOOD hurt"!

This Morning, while I was waiting for it to warm up, I grabbed the latest "Where Women Create" and perused a few sections....(I should probably get up and grab it and let you know WHO wrote about "when you're not feeling creative, make something for YOURSELF.")  But frankly, as previously stated everything hurts right now,,,,Even the Pink highlights in my Hair! So,,,,,I'll get back to you on that.......

Anyway? If you read my Blog yesterday, I shared that I felt the "Creative Fairies" WERE in house....And I'm frankly, kind of on a roll, which is nice, But after skimming the WWC, I thought  "I NEVER make anything for me!" I either make it and sell it,,,,,or Give it away for an Event or, at times, on this Blog. So today, I decided to make something for me........I know, Shut Up, Right?

So here's the necklace I finished,,,,,In all my FAV colors right now.......It'll "work" with a lot of my clothes and HOPEFULLY "draw the eye" up around my face,,,,,,or at least neck instead of my Menopausal Middle! HA! I may add a few more embellishments,,,,or not. I kind of like it just like this.........

I'm Celebrating a GREAT visit from the "Creative Fairies" ( a phrase from my dear Lulu) these last couple of days,,,,,I was "ON." Not by ANY means to say that I was perfect or created things everyone would like,,,,,,,but just feeling like you have a "voice" a "presence" that encourages you to TRY new and different things!

So,,,,Here's a few "Badges" I made-THIS TIME.... out of the old wallpaper I scored last week........

Here in Washington, I think, even if you favor a neutral pallate,,,,,,You need a bit of Color,,,,,and Oh yeah-Some Bling! (Perfect for your "Creative Fairies) to catch a Ride on!)

I got my "Hair Did" today,,,,aka  my hair styled and Pink highlites redone." I took quite a stash of My Bobby Pin Hair clips  (aka "Bobby Blings") to my fav Hair Salon today,,,"Tom Walkers Hair Salon" ,,,,I've decided to sell them for $6.00, with $1.00 going to the RED CROSS........I've learned how to make them pretty quickly,,,,,so IF you ordered some from me at a higher price,,,,I'll adjust the pricing! (If you're local, they have some of the Clips in stock there,,,,,and I'll make more for Joyworks, 2nd Saturdayz,,,,,etc.) And, again, IF you have custom colors in mind, let me know,,,I'll be happy to make them!

The Younger Gals working in the Salon were "all over" the former Vintage Hair clips/turned Bobby Pins......Too Funny,,,,,they remind ME of my Auntie Lila!...........

"You Hit my Car?,,,,Here, have a Cupcake!"

So,,,,,,Finally, Today?  I  got to take a box of Hats/Flags/Wands and little cupcake pis I'd made to New York Cupcakes in Bell/Red (Crossroads).http://www.newyorkcupcakes.com/  If you aren't local, the "Crossroads" part, stands for Bellevue,Redmond. WA.  Home base for Microsoft and a Myriad of  other successful Tech industries, etc.

Lisa has a Fantastic cupcake business, which she established several years ago. She only uses the BEST in her Cupcakes...... Fortunately, for me, and Joyworks,,,,she's bought a lot of  Cupcake related  and birthday decor over the last couple of years, that adorn her shop. Specialty lights, linens, cake plates and fun canisters and other ceramics from Joyworks,,,Oh yeah, and I'm proud and honored to say,,,, she has also purchased several of my hand crafted paper goods! And as of late, has many more of my Hats/Flags and custom cupcake pics!  Her products and shop are "TOP of the Line," so I'm very honored to have a presence there! Thanks Lisa, for the honor...........I cannot think of a place I'd rather be represented.........

And right next store? Is Common Folk. www.facebook.com/commonfolkco  it is too Yummy! I met Kathryn today, and she is a Dear.....We talked about local Artists and Events. . . I really enjoyed getting to know her!

So- I'll skip the Stop at "Packaging Specialties" where WHAT? I got out of there with "Nuttin,"......

 and I stared heading home, down the backroads,,,,,,and looking for an Antique Stop my friend "Kell Bell" and I USED to make.......Only NOW? The whole "mini" strip Mall is full of Winery tastings and a Cafe.......And,,,,,,,,,BOOM! Some guy backed out of a parking strip really fast and Hit the front left portion of my car!

Okay, so, I haven't been involved in an accident for YEARS.......Okay, DECADES! And he was young, (hey, anything under 40 is young for ME these days) and SO concerned.........."His Fault" he said. Well, Duh? So, we exchanged all the info ( he works for 3M)  needed and he was still SO shook up,,,,,,,,So, What did Shell do?
I brought the "6 pack" of Cuppycakes I'd purchased at "New York" and offered him one............Okay,,,he was Cute and concerned and What is a Mom to Do?

There were a lot of other interesting "happenings" today.........Like my French neighbor asking ME if I knew a good Psychic......no, I am "fresh out" but not oppossed...........or the Wedding topper I'm currently working on.........or the Fun  and gracious gal, TRULY at Progressive Insurance that handled my Claim today..........

"We are NOT Amused." And my Red Cross Crafting Donation......

I believe it was Queen Elizabeth that coined the phrase, "We are NOT amused." Although I often associate speaking in the third party with England's Royal Family. However,,,,,I'm sure as of late, it's somewhat consensual........the expression, that is.......

"We are Not Amused" by Record Rainfall, Cold Temps and Gray Rainy days in Washington!

"We are Not Amused" by our neighbors in the Midwest being hit by horrendous Tornadoes! (Or, that New coverage seems to put more importance on what the "Royals" will be wearing than on the Victims of these horrid storms. Sidebar here: Hey, I love a  "Fairy Tale Wedding," a tiara and the likes as much as the next gal,,,but let's keep our priorities straight!.

"We are Not Amused" by soaring Gas Prices, increasing unemployment, horrendous grocery bills and higher taxes.

Okay,,,,,Shew! I'm done-okay, almost!  Thanks for letting me vent!

"Bobby Blings" Vintage Flowers/Earclips/feathers, you name it!

So? I've been making these Hair pins? They're little embellishments on a Bobby Pin,,,,Only I call them "Bobby Blings."  I've been making them for the Salon I go to and some for Joyworks and some for an upcoming Event.  They'll be $8.50 each......... And, for everyone I sell, I will donate $1.00 to the American Red Cross.  They're small enough that I can just throw them in a standard Envelope.

So, I figured, for the Month of May, if you'd like a custom  "Bobby Bling,"  email me what you'd like, or they'll also be available at Tom Walker's Hair Salon, Joyworks and the upcoming "Second Saturdayz" Event here in Snohomish in May,,,I've got oodles of  Vintage lace/mesh/ribbons/flowers/ear clips/bling, etc.  to make you a little clip. They will work on short OR long hair......just think bobby pin.....

This may be a small contribution.....but it all adds up! I cannot imagine having my home ripped apart. My family, friends and community gone. I would imagine that a FEW of the Royal gems would restore the homes of many. Again, I DO love the excitement and festivities,,,,and yes, the "Pomp and circumstance" of the whole wedding thing........but a little bit of perspective goes a LONG way!
