New Wedding Cupcake Topper and Birthday Banner

Here are a couple of things I made in the workshop this week!! A new cupcake topper-With Vintage Swans that I LOVE because my Dutch Grandmother and my German Grandfather were introduced (pre WWI) at an inn/restraunt/yacht club on the Rhine in Germany called "Der Schwann." Or "The Swan." All very romantic, especially because they were married like 60 years,,,,,and they met in their 30's......Very European for educated families to marry late even in those days....So here is "Der Schwann/The Swan"

Lauren and Andrew's Wedding Cake topper............

Lauren stopped by tonight and picked up her wedding cake topper for her ceremony next month. I was delighted to see her and find out that she and Andrew are performing for the next couple of weeks prior to their wedding at Collectors Choice, here in Snohomish.

Then, after their vows, they are headed to Nashiville to expand together on their music careers. Lauren has an awesome voice and Andrew, well, he plays the piano like an Angel,,I truly don't know if Andrew reads music, or if he is just so gifted as to play by ear. I DO know that he inquired several years ago of my friend Laura to play piano in her Chapel when it was not in use. Andrew is self taught. And a musical prodigy/genius. His musical prose will give your heart delight!!

I am SO happy about their union. I love and admire them both greatly. And I wish them the world in their endeavors!!!

Working on some "Baby boxes" and Christmas

I've got a couple of baby themed boxes in the works, as well as some Christmas items and a birthday crown......Here's on of the boxes I finished today,,,,more on the way!

A couple of new birthday hats ...

I worked in the studio quite a bit today but didn't seem to finish anything!! Ever have one/two/three of those days.

These are a couple of birthday hats I did before the NEW camera broke, which I replaced yesterday (Crossing my fingers!)

Starting to work on some Christmas stuff, and of course THAT is not done either!!

Gave me a blog award this weekend. What was funny was that I was visiting her Etsy Shop on the hunt for some goodies for Christmas crafting (I know, I know). I snagged up some fun stuff by the way!!

I'm not the only one thinking a Christmas Crafting.....maybe it's the Midwest and other ornaments we're pricing at Joyworks!! Nothing like 86 degrees and Glitter!!

Amy's Birthday Crown

Today was Amy's Birthday at Joyworks and I gave her a crown I made her. I'm a bit exasperated the new camera that I bought IS NOT WORKING!!! I have to take it back and find out why the battery isn't charging. Geesh! But here is Amy in her Birthday crown. It was a HOT afternoon in Washington State!! Tomorrow and the 4th even hotter!!
