I was going to post this last night, but after a busy day at work, I fell asleep during NCIS. Did they get out okay? LOL Mark Harmon may come up to my belly button, but I still think he's pretty cute! Love that Show!
Back to Swaps! Here is a glimpse of my Blogger May Day Swaps:
Meg, from Vintage Garden Home http://vintagegardenhome.blogspot.com/ sent me a darling May Day Basket full of goodies for Jenny Fowler's May Day Basket Swap.
Cute green wicker(vintage?) basket with the darling baby bird house. Filled with goodies! I cracked up when I saw all the glitter she sent me, as per our conversations, SHE doesn't "do" glitter, but she quickly learned I DO!
I promise I only put a "hint" of discreet black glitter on the burlap ruffle that I added to her basket, and painted lightly- more to accent the edge of the ruffle AND to "Fuse it." I totally spaced on taking pics of what I sent her, but it's a couple of posts back on her blog if you want to see....I tried to do something natural with a sewing/vintage/garden influence. Because she likes to, well Garden and sew! It was a fun project to make something kind of "our of your confort zone!" She said it was like I KNEW things she would love,,,,,,,too sweet!
Fun Goodies to craft with! And do you know with ALL the glitter I have, I didn't have ANY of these Martha Colors! Score! I think I'm going to tea stain the sheet music fabric and make lavendar bags. I love the vintage green rick rack and Key stamp!
Thanks so much Meg, too fun!
And, I also took part in A Swap for all Seasons Tussie Mussie Event and received this one from Tammy at http://onefrustratedmama.blogspot.com/
Tammy used some cute pink feather boa on hers and some gorgeous ribbon streamers! I'm loving the Pink!
Thanks Tammy!
I sent Tammy a Tussie Mussie that was quite a bit different and I hoped she liked it, because I haven't heard, but I know she is a young mother and BUSY!
The only photos I remembered to take for this one were for an event "Tease" photo. Which only shows a BIT of it!
I used Vintage Wallpaper, vintage lace, silk magnolias and added a vintage Eiffel Tower embellishement. Oh well, next time I'll take better photos of Everything!
I also sent her a Vintage post card and a large Ivory toned Vintage Silk Flower, which I added a backing and a pin to that could either be worn or used in some kind of home decor.
Duh! Still new to this swap thing! Next time I'll take better photos of the things I get and send for the Swaps! Hope my swappers enjoyed their goodies also!
Thanks Ladies!
Lots of crafting to do tomorrow for various events and a couple of customs! Night all, have a good week!
Hugs,
