Mini Crowns and Funky Trees

Today I made some Trees and some little mini crowns, aside from my mass production little giveaways for the Joyworks party on Friday.

The tree below is made of Cotton batting and features pop-pom "polka dots." Measures appx 12 inches high.

These little crowns measure appx 4 inches in diameter. Would make cute ornaments on a tree!

And here's a funky little tree I made using Crepe paper and ruffling it, applying to a cardboard cone and then glittering the heck out of it........Fun to make~

Pretty as a Peacock

Who says the Male of the species get all the pretty plummage?

This crown was inspired from the feathers of a Peacock. Rich Blues, Violets and Greens accent the muted Gold finish. Embellished with Ribbons, feathers, gems and German Buillion.

Christmas Crafting Continues

Here is a crown I finished today, using some fun glittered pics we got in at Joyworks, some sheet music, burlap strip, ribbon, vintage little velveteen bird, vintage glass balls, etc. Definetly more sparkly than most of my crowns, but for the holidays, what the heck!! You could wear it, stick in on/in a tree or just include it in your holiday decor

I also made a few Victorian Cones, theses were fun and I'll be making some others soon! These guys a smaller-about 2 1/2 by 4 1/2 inches tall......

And finally a little Snowman box. He was a little cupcake pic (just the head) and I added some spun cotton balls for his body and some leftover stems from flower pics that I glittered green. The tree behind him I found at a Garage sale and I assume was a cake decoration too, which I glittered with Mica flakes. This is a box measures appx 3"w x 4 1/2" inches tall

All products will be available through my Etsy site, or look for them at Joyworks in Snohomish, soon!

Santa's little helpers taking a break!

I found these great little  (Vintage) Pixies through Etsy and thought they would be fun to put on boxes.  But when they arrived, I decided they needed to be together! Here's the little box I created today . . .

To me they look like Santa's little helpers, although they appeared to be having to much fun to be Working! So here they are, "playing in the Snow, taking a break from the workshop to play in the snow!!

Fun as a gift container (measures appx 5"w X 9"high to the top of the Christmas tree) or fun just as a decoration. (All my boxes come with "shreddies" inside and feature a little "surprise."

Available at my Etsy Site (see sidebar) or in Joyworks, amidst all the other Christmas Decor!!

Up on the Roof top!

I had fun creating this box using vintage materials (Santa/reindeer pic on the roof, German mushrooms and "Merry Christmas Dresden) but I love giving it a new twist, adding the glittered bright green polka dots and fun scrap booking paper!

The house I made from scratch using poster board (and then covering it with the scrapbook paper) making my own window frames and doors! Well, a good rainy day project!

I'll bring it in to Joyworks on Monday to add to our "kitchy" Christmas section to sell, otherwise, click my Etsy sidebar for buying info!!

New Ballerina Boxes and Party Hats

I had fun today making some new party hats with with polka dots, paint, glitter and crepe paper! Available at Joyworks or on Etsy.

The one above I just kind of hand painted some ribbon-type design and glittered. Then I added some embellishments. I think it turned out pretty fun!

Another Party hat, this one with scrunched crepe paper/german buillion and little green embellishments.

I've sold all of my other Ballerina boxes, so I figured I would make a few more. Each one comes with paper shreddies and a little surprise inside.

As mentioned above, all items will be available in Joyworks or on my Etsy site. Let me know if you need a custom item!

Starting a bit of Christmas

I found these two cute plaster angels, that I just love and figured they would look cute in kind of a 50's "Kitchy" Christmas Setting. So here are the "girls." I used some vintage wallpaper, this awesome "Grandma's Rick Rack," Vintage beads/embellishments and of course, GLITTER. I love the way they turned out. Listed on my Etsy site, but will be in Joyworks until they find a new "home."

New Crown-Black and Creme

I just finished this crown this afternoon. If it suits Jana's needs, we may use it at Joyworks on a tree she's getting ready/has (?) put up in the next couple of days.
I can make another one or two, if need be, so I'm also listing it on Etsy.

It was fun to make! I have to thank Ann-Denise Anderson for the pipe cleaner idea she demonstrated in Somerset, although mine is entirely different, I used her basic pipe cleaner frame.

Then I used some Cody Foster paper flowers we had at Joyworks and added some glitter.
For buying info, please leave a comment, or visit my Etsy site.

New Halloween

Oh Shoot, this Crow box turned out SO cute, but I could NOT get a decent photo! It's too small and too dark! Here's the best pic of the bunch! I was going to list it on Etsy, but I think it'll have to stay in Joyworks and/or go to the "Funky Junk" show to find a worthy home!

Also, a fun Halloween hat. Handmade paper/vintage dresden/glitter/ruffled crepe paper and a mix of fibers, papers and wire tinsel to top it off!

Scarey, Spooky, okay not really, but!

The crow "box" measures about 6 inches high by about 3 1/2" and the little spider boxes are about "2x2." Fun to fill with a "spooky" surprise!
